Morley - IAS,
U.K.
Morley-IAS Fire Systems was formed in
January 1999 as an amalgamation of IAS Electronics
Ltd., Ancon and Morley Electronic Fire Systems.
As a part of Honeywell, a Fortune 50 company,
we are a leading world-wide manufacturer of fire
alarm control panels and associated products.
Morley-IAS designs and manufacturers fire alarm
control panels, which operate with a range of
sensor protocols from such specialist manufacturers
as Apollo, Hochiki, Nittan and System Sensor.
The panels themselves are microprocessor based
and embody both software and hardware that has
been researched and developed by Morley-IAS. In
addition to fire alarm control panels we also
produce standard interface units and power supplies,
covering a range of uses. |

Kidde Fenwal,
U.S.A.
Kidde-Fenwal originated in 1966 when
Walter Kidde & Company, a leading fire protection
manufacturer headquartered in Clifton, NJ, acquired
Fenwal, Inc., an Ashland-based manufacturer of
temperature and gas ignition controls. Both Walter
Kidde and Fenwal, having begun their business
operations during the 1930's, were already considered
among the top companies in their respective industries.
In 1989, Williams Holdings Ltd., a major British
industrial corporation, acquired Fenwal, Inc.
and the other Kidde fire protection companies.
Following the acquisition, Kidde's Wake Forest,
NC operations were merged with Fenwal's Ashland
facility, and in 1991, the new company was renamed
KIDDE-FENWAL, INC.
Product & Service leadership include:
· THERMOSWITCH temperature controller
· First fusible type continuous fire detection
for aircraft · First explosion protection
system for aircraft & industrial protection
· First Clean Agent fire suppression
systems · First electronic gas ignition
system · First Laser-based smoke detection
· First truly Distributed Intelligence

Conventional
Series 300
System Sensor 300 Series Plug-in Smoke
Detectors offer superb performance and reli-ability
in a profile which is just 1.6” (4.2 cm)
deep. Both ionization sensor and photoelectric
sensor share the same sleek low-profile design
and can be used with a variety of different adapter
bases in several wiring configurations and voltages.
Other features include: low current draw, stable
performance in high air velocities, built-in tamper
resistant base design, remote LED option, removable
cover, and built-in test switch. |

Addressable
Series 200
Series 200 is an intelligent, laser-based
photoelectric smoke detector featuring extensive
on-board signal processing capabilities designed
to improve smoke response. Pinnacle also features
a patented smoke sensing chamber, designed to
amplify signals from smoke, but diminish stray
internal reflections. By using a laser diode instead
of a standard LED light source into the sensing
chamber, Pinnacle is able to achieve sensitivities
from 0.02% to 2% per foot obscuration. |

Infrared Beam
Smoke Detector
Projected Beam Smoke Detector is uniquely
suited for protecting open areas with high ceilings
where conventional spot type smoke detectors are
difficult to install and maintain. Listed for
operation at the broadest temperature range in
the industry (–22°F to 131°F), the
6424 can be used in garage or warehouse applications
to provide early warning in environments where
temperature extremes exceed the capability of
spot-type smoke detectors. |

Control Module
System Sensor Eclipse™ Series is
a peer-to-peer, all digital protocol that allows
for numerous applications, such as fire, security,
access and HVAC control. Eclipse provides faster
device response time, with more flexibility than
ever possible before. In addition, this digital,
peer to-peer protocol is more resilient than other
types of systems because of its significantly
high noise immunity.
The Eclipse system distributes intelligence to
the networked devices. In fact, Eclipse turns
every networked device into a peer, capable of
generating messages readable by the entire system.
Additionally, with Eclipse, no special communication
cables are required, making it ideal for retrofit
applications. |

Apollo
Fire Detectors, U.K.
Apollo Fire Detectors Limited is one of the
world's leading manufacturers of conventional
and analogue addressable smoke and heat detectors
for commercial and industrial applications.
The Apollo products are sold in over 70 countries
and have won 3 Queen's Awards for Export Achievement.
The company's premises are located in Havant
on the south coast of England. Apollo Fire Detectors
Limited is part of the Halma plc group of companies.
The entire range of detectors holds product
approvals worldwide and the company is quality
certificated to ISO 9001 by the LPCB.

Conventional
Series 65 Optical
The optical smoke detector uses an internal
pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle.
In the event of smoke entering the chamber, the
light pulse from the LED will be scattered and
registered by the photo-diode. The detector will
then enter the alarm state and the indicator LED
lights up. |

XP95 Optical
The XP95 optical detector uses an internal
pulsing LED and a photo-diode at an obtuse angle.
In the event of smoke entering the chamber, the
light pulse from the LED will be scattered and
registered by the photo-diode. A signal is generated
and transmitted digitally to the control equipment. |

|
|
Conventional
Series 65 Heat
The heat detector operates by using a
matched pair of thermistors to sense heat. One
thermistor is exposed to the ambient temperature,
the other is sealed. In normal conditions, the
two thermistors register similar temperatures,
but, on the development of a fire, the temperature
recorded by the exposed thermistor will increase
rapidly, resulting in an imbalance of the thermistors
and causing the detector to change to the alarm
state. |
|
|
|
Addressable
XP95 Multisensor
The XP95 multisensor detector contains
an optical smoke sensor and a thermistor temperature
sensor whose outputs are combined to give the
final analogue value. |
